The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.

This warrior group consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to go next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the team access places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Questers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be where in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
