Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
